John Salmeron, Ph.D
Business Advisor; Managing Director of S Research Partners, LLC in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina
John founded S Research Partners LLC with a mission to help agtech companies maximize value from their investments in research and development. John draws on more than two decades of experience managing research teams and project portfolios at multinational and startup companies such as Syngenta, Intrexon and Precision Biosciences. He provides support to client companies in the areas of research strategy development, project management and new business development. Specific areas of technical expertise include genomics, gene editing, traits, and crop protection.
John completed his A.B. degree in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis, his Ph.D. in Botany and Genetics at Duke University, and carried out postdoctoral work at the University of California at Berkeley. He is an adjunct faculty member at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
