The BioSTL Global AgriFood Innovation Summit took place at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis from February 3 to February 5, focusing on the theme of regenerative agriculture.
The Innatrix team extends a heartfelt thank you to the BioSTL team (Vijay Chauhan, Joey Jedlicka, Chad Zimmerman, Jon Riley and more) for organizing this wonderful summit, and to the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center-Giles Oldroyd team for hosting, along with all the sponsors, ReACH Coalition members, BioGenerator, 39 North, and Agtech leaders for their significant contributions.
Innatrix is proud to be selected as one of the 11 innovators from a competitive pool of 68 global applicants; invited to travel, connect, pitch, and exchange ideas and business.
Summit Highlights:
**February 3**: Innovators explored the robust Agtech ecosystem in the St. Louis area, discovering that Missouri is home to 80 Agtech companies. The St. Louis Metro area, covering 500 miles, accounts for 50% of agriculture, 80% of U.S. soybean production, and 78% of U.S. corn production, making the Gateway to the West an investment hub as well as a market.
**February 4**: The 11 innovators from around the globe, including the U.S., Israel, Argentina, and the U.K., showcased their projects during the Dolphin Tank.
**February 5**: Jiarui Li, Ph.D., MBA from Innatrix engaged in valuable 1:1 discussions with ReACH Coalition members, including Bayer, Pivot Bio, Bunge, MO & IL Farm Bureaus, Gates Agricultural Innovations (Gates Ag One), National Corn Growers Association, guided by Erin Marlow.
During these challenging times for Agtech, the Innatrix team is grateful for the strong ecosystem that supports the survival and growth of startups, medium, and large companies. Together, we are working together to build a more sustainable agricultural system.
