Laurie Betts, Ph.D. – Senior Scientist.

Laurie Betts is trained as a structural and molecular biologist. Laurie uses her insight into macromolecular structure to help in the design and development of new protein therapeutics for Innatrix and its customers. In past roles, she managed Core Facilities for X-ray Crystallography at both the University of North Carolina and also at the University of Pittsburgh, and trained many students and post-docs. More recently she has worked at the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center in a role that gave her experience and insight into Next Generation Sequencing methods for analysis of human clinical trial samples. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horse, playing with her retired racing greyhounds, and birdwatching.
